Description
The peace of God is sublime, surpassing anything this world can give. It is Christ’s gift to his church.
The blessing ‘Grace and peace’ appears extensively in the New Testament epistles.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the apostles echo the words of our risen Lord to his disciples: ‘Peace be with you’ (Luke 24:36).
And Jesus says the same to us.
‘Peace: so sought; so elusive. This short, readable and sweet meditative survey will cause you to yearn for, seek, know, abide in,
promote and sow this peace.
As its captivating beauty attracts and draws you, may the Prince of
Peace Himself, “our” peace, the One who gives us “My peace”,
delight you.
May these reflections bring a rich appreciation of that peace with
God secured through Calvary’s blood. May the peace of God
that surpasses all understanding be yours in abundance. Newly
experienced, may it fire us up to pray that many more would come
to know the Lord of peace Himself.’
