Description

The matter of marriage and divorce has become sensitive, emotive, and even controversial. Married couples who experience tension in their relationship need all the help they can get to weather the storms of humanism, selfishness and hedonism which have all contributed to the havoc which have led to the unfortunate dissolution of far too many marriages. Words in season from every possible source are necessary to stem the tide of marital failure. Here, with deep insight and careful pastoral sensitivity, Martin Holdt brings clear and practical teaching from the Bible on the topic.

"superb"

Divorce has become one of the tragedies of our times and needs to be faced with realism and honesty. In this superb booklet Martin Holdt has done precisely that, writing with a pastor’s heart and an unflinching adherence to biblical principles. Here is a straightforward resource crammed with clear, practical and spiritual counsel. I know of nothing better.'
—John Blanchard, Author, Apologist and Evangelist

'Most booklets on divorce are theological treatises on the Scriptural grounds for divorce and remarriage. This booklet is refreshingly different, for it is a pastoral and practical appeal to married couples to resolve the problems leading to divorce for the sake of God and the children, as well as advice on how to cope with separation, should it occur. Thoroughly biblical and lovingly written, it will under God be a valuable tool for pastors to give to all who are thinking of or struggling with divorce.'
—Brian A Russell, Virginia, USA, Author and retired Baptist pastor,

Martin Holdt’s booklet is such a gem. Despite its small size, it packs a wallop of wholesome, healing medicine to those who will drink deeply from it. Martin is a sensitive guide to hurting, sin-sick people. He is this because he is primarily a Bible man. Martin gives old but untried, true but ignored counsel from God’s Word which is balm for the soul. In a phrase, try it, you will like it, and it will heal your soul.
—Steve Martin, Pastor, Heritage Church, Fayetteville, GA,
